ICA is an award winning educational institution, pioneering high-quality open and distance learning (ODL) program modules in Nepal since its establishment in 1997. It offers a unique opportunity to learners to study from their own place, pace and time while continuing their work uninterrupted. It is the first partner institution of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in Nepal, that offers internationally recognized degrees in the fields of Management, Humanities & Social Science, Tourism, and Computer Science, catering to students from various professional backgrounds. These academic programs are approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal, and Tribhuvan University, along with recognition from multiple international universities and agencies. Acknowledged for its excellence, ICA has received accolades such as the “Best Overseas Partner Institution 2011, 2013, 2014” by IGNOU and the “Best Distance Education B-School of Nepal 2013”. 

With the rise of digital adoption in 2019, ICA sought to leverage this growth and expand its digital presence to engage with a broader audience. As students increasingly opted for international education degrees, ICA wanted to focus on promoting its internationally recognized open and distance learning programs in the digital platforms. It wanted to highlight its reputation and effectively communicate its vision to learners while strengthening their position in the evolving educational landscape.

Our Strategic Vision For The Brand

Our approach for ICA’s brand strategy began with identifying a critical gap: while ICA’s offerings aligned with customer demands and the growing digitalization of education, the concept of open and distance learning (ODL) was still unfamiliar to many. With students accustomed to traditional education systems, our initial focus was on educating the market about the benefits, flexibility, and global recognition of open university programs. This foundational awareness was essential to position ICA as a leader in this innovative educational approach.

At the same time, we recognized ICA’s existing competitive advantage in this field, given its legacy as Nepal’s first partner institution of IGNOU and its internationally accredited programs. However, competing with education consultancies—primarily focused on study-abroad options—presented a unique challenge. Our strategy focused on differentiating ICA by emphasizing its distinct value proposition: globally recognized education programs that allow learners to continue working while studying at their own pace, place and time. By combining market education with targeted differentiation, we strengthened ICA’s position as a pioneer in ODL and a trusted name in quality education in Nepal.

Content & Creative Strategy

For ICA, we knew that we had to communicate the concept of education that isn’t just about classrooms—it’s about possibilities. So, when crafting our content and creative strategy, we focused on telling a story that resonated with students balancing work, life, and studies. Through blogs and testimonials, we highlighted the power of open and distance learning, making it clear that quality education can be flexible, affordable, and accessible. To bring this vision to life, we conducted photoshoots and video shoots, capturing moments of students, faculty, and the learning experience at ICA. Every design choice—from social media creatives to website visuals—was carefully crafted to align with IGNOU’s identity, ensuring that ICA stood out as a trusted learning partner.

Social Media Marketing

Our team developed and executed a targeted social media strategy for ICA across key platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. The goal was to build engagement, promote ICA’s educational programs, and demonstrate the concept of open and distance learning (ODL) among its audience. Through a mix of creative posts, informative content, and strategic campaigns, we enhanced ICA’s visibility and reached a broader audience. This initiative increased awareness of ICA’s offerings and also helped shape a positive perception of ODL as a flexible and valuable alternative to traditional education, reinforcing ICA’s position as a pioneer in the field.

Website Redesign & Development

We revamped ICA’s website design to offer a user-friendly, informative experience, showcasing the institution’s programs, achievements, and success stories. For the website, we developed a custom theme using Laravel, PHP, and CSS5, creating a modern and responsive platform tailored to their needs. The focus was on intuitive navigation and seamless access to information, reinforcing ICA’s position as a pioneer in open and distance learning in Nepal.

To enhance security and performance, we integrated Wordfence, ensuring protection against cyber threats and unauthorized access. Additionally, we implemented Yoast SEO to optimize the site’s content and structure, improve search engine rankings, and drive organic traffic, increasing ICA’s online visibility. This strategic approach ensured that the website not only reflects ICA’s commitment to quality education but also supports digital growth through enhanced functionality, security, speed and a professional online presence.

Brand Strategy

When rebranding ICA, our goal was clear—to make its unique value stand out in the competitive education space. We refined ICA’s content and presentation, ensuring that every touchpoint, from the website to social media, clearly communicated its USP—flexible, affordable, and recognized distance learning. To strengthen brand identity, we maintained consistent visual thematics, aligning designs with IGNOU’s credibility while making ICA’s presence more engaging. We also provided digital coverage for university events, ensuring wider reach and awareness among potential students. By crafting informational yet compelling content about ICA’s programs, structure, and benefits, we positioned ICA as not just an institution but an empowering gateway to higher education.

Campaign

For ICA, our ad campaigns were strategically crafted to drive course enrollments and brand awareness. We leveraged Facebook and Google Ads, targeting prospective students searching for flexible and affordable higher education. The campaigns focused on keywords like “international degree,” “blended learning,” and “learning from home”, highlighting ICA’s distance learning advantages. Our creatives were designed to be informative yet visually compelling, ensuring that the message resonated with working professionals, housewives, and students seeking alternative education pathways. We also ran “admission open” campaigns, optimizing them with engaging visuals, clear CTAs, and audience segmentation to maximize conversion rates.
